What we do

Hipupholstery is a family business with over 45 years of traditional upholstery experience.

We restore and reupholster beautiful well made piece of antique and vintage upholstered furniture, with a special focus on the iconic circ. 1950’s Parker Knoll armchairs and other British furniture makers of the time.

We love pieces that were made to last, and once respectfully restored and re-imagined, returning them back into the heart of the home - everyone needs a comfortable chair!

Sustainable furniture

Buying new isn’t always best. We believe that well made furniture will stand the test of time and can be re-imagined again and again to suit your changing needs.

The quality and craftmanship of some vintage pieces can’t be bought affordability on the high street today. So rather than perpetuating the market for mass produced, cheaply made furniture that was never designed to last 5 years, let alone 50 years, seek out those treasure, dust off the years and lets create something really special for you that will last.

Reusing and reupholstering your existing furniture is a great way to help tackle the impact of fast-furniture on our planet today.
